8 March: A date that transcends flowers and chocolates, a day to celebrate the strength, resilience and unlimited potential of women. On this Women’s Day in 2024, we invite you to reflect and challenge the prejudices that persist in society.
The image that illustrates this article, with the phrase “That’s not a job for a lady”, represents the outdated mentality that limits women to certain roles. Fortunately, more and more women are breaking down these barriers, taking up positions in traditionally male areas such as engineering, firefighting or construction.
Doctors, engineers, firefighters, labourers, entrepreneurs… The list of examples is long and demonstrates the remarkable dedication, courage and strength that characterise women. They competently conquer their space and inspire others to follow their dreams.
