From disposal to innovation: Our approach to reuse
We have chosen World Recycling Day to highlight the importance of adopting sustainable practices and remind ourselves of the significance of taking care of our planet. As part of our sustainability project, “TOWORKFOR the Planet,” we are committed to promoting recycling and reuse in our industry.
The footwear industry has a significant impact on the environment, from production to disposal. However, we believe that one of the most effective ways to reduce environmental impact is through material reuse. To contribute to the reuse of materials that would otherwise be discarded, we have implemented the production of a Recycled Mat.
How do we produce it?
- We collect excess PU material from our injected footwear production.
- We crush and grind this material.
- Our material, now ground, is processed and fed into the production of our TOWORKFOR mats
- The mat is ready.
Through actions like this, we aim to raise awareness among our customers and partners about the importance of reuse and recycling, inspiring others to adopt more environmentally friendly practices in their lives and businesses.
