Discover the annual actions for the community and the environment
Social responsibility is increasingly becoming a priority for us. As socially responsible brands, AMF SAFETY SHOES and TOWORKFOR assume this commitment to the local community and so the TOWORKFOR ALL project was born.
With the purpose of creating an impact from the point of view of environmental preservation, people’s well-being and the economic space where they operate, it is in this spirit of volunteering and social awareness that we launched the challenge of carrying out, with the help of AMF employees, several annual actions that really make a difference.
What did we do in 2022?
To kick off this project, and as we believe that culture and knowledge are fundamental, we provided about a hundred students from Tabuadelo EB1 school with a different moment.
We took these students to watch a children’s Christmas musical – “The New Cinderella on Ice”. This Christmas gift fulfilled the already traditional support of AMF Safety Shoes to the students of our parish and this year was part of the project “TOWORKFOR ALL” – the new Project of Social Responsibility of AMF Safety Shoes.
We made a donation to PPA – an association to support cancer patients from less privileged social backgrounds.
With a sense of urgency, we organized a Fundraising of food and hygiene goods, which were donated to the Project Guimarães for Peace, of which TOWORKFOR was also part.
This project arose from the will of several entrepreneurs of Guimarães who want to help those who have suffered most at an early stage, with the current war in Ukraine.
Our last action carried through in the scope of this social project was once again a support to the local community.
In partnership with Tabuadelo Parish Council and again a help in favour of Tabuadelo Basic School, after we identified that the school was facing a problem of lack of privacy in the outdoor spaces.
With the participation of parents and teachers, and AMF employees, we were able to plant 45 shrubs to rehabilitate this outdoor space and provide better conditions for the students of the school.
These were the actions of 2022. In 2023 we want to continue our social support and expand it even more.
